Saturday excitement

I'm having one of those Saturday's, where the day was supposed to be partly mine, but has become mostly not. I get to spend the rest of this morning cleaning house for company, and have to squeeze in a trip to Target for a pinata (and hopefully the deluxe edition of "Sex and the City, which two Targets have been sold out of!), plus a drop in at Safeway to get a cake for later. I prefer to bake birthday cakes myself whenever possible, but I'm also very good at deciding what I can and can not do in a period of time, and what I can't do is get a cake ready and decorated by 11am.

Because at 11am we're heading to Chuck E. Fargin Cheese to give my daughter a mini-party. And I do mean mini! Just two friends are coming along -- the very nice neighbors down the court. Our kids get along very well, and this keeps things low-key. CEFC doesn't host it, either. We just buy some pizza and tokens for all, bring our own cake, and everyone has a good time.

They highlight of the day will be my best friends and their four month old baby coming to visit us this evening. We love having them here and all four of us are excited. THAT will be me time. And after one of the longest weeks at work EVER, I welcome it.

What are your weekend plans?

Sounds pretty busy and fun!! :)

I so need to play some big time housework catch-up here this weekend! Thank God we aren't having company! It will probably take me all weekend.
