It's Friday again!

I know it comes every week, as expected as my children's tantrum at bedtime, but I still get excited. No work for two days and lots of time with my kids. I can't ask for a lot more than that! The goals for this weekend include:

- lazing about

- organizing some things for fun!

- watching movies ("The Brave One" arrived from Blockbuster online)

- reading my book ("Keeping Faith" by Jodi Picoult)

- eating stinky cheese (I've been craving that all week)

- blogging, of course!

Hubby has some fishing to do, so the kids and I will amuse ourselves on Saturday. This will probably include some Father's Day card making. They already gave him his gift, and it was the cutest thing that I should have videoed for my blog. "When will I learn?!" she cried in tortured angst! He ordered a new fishing reel as his gift, which I appreciate since it's not always easy to know just what to give him. When I got home last night, he showed it to me, as it had just arrived that day. I took the box to the kids, and whispered that I had Daddy's Fathers Day present, and would they like to give it to him now so that he can use it on Saturday?

They got SO EXCITED! They each held half of the box, walked into our bedroom, and yelled, "Happy Fathers Day!!" Rick put on his best surprised face and thanked them sincerely. They were SO proud of themselves, and there was much hugging and kissing. Hopefully they'll have as much fun on Sunday, when we should be doing nice things for Dad all day long.

I'm laughing...the part "When will I learn?!"...you are officially diagnosed with blog addiction! I should know...I am the SAME way!! :)

A fishing reel sounds like a fantastic Father's Day present!

What is it about Fridays that we will continue to look forward to for the rest of our lives. I need to read some too...blogging has kind of put reading on the back burner, but I'm starting to miss it. Big Jodi Piccoult fan over here!!

sweet kids...isn't it fun to watch them get enjoyment out of giving?
