I've tried to avoid getting political because I know it can be a turn off for readers on the opposing side, and frankly, I like keeping my blog light and more personal. What's changing my mind is that this election feels personal to me. The more reading and researching I do, the more afraid I am of Barack Obama and his political associations. With no thanks to the media, none of what I'm finding appears to be out there in the every day news, and I'm sick to death of hearing about the least important things on earth, such as the money spent on Palin's wardrobe. If you really care about that, don't even talk to me about it until you've also got numbers for what was spent on Hillary when she was the first lady or when she was running, not to mention each and every man who's run. Somehow I think you'll have trouble finding it.
Today I'm focusing on the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae situation. The Democrats have spent a great deal of time and energy pointing their fingers at the Republicans and the President for the situation we're in. The video below gives you a better idea of where we should be pointing fingers. You might also go further and look into the facts that Obama has been paid the 2nd highest amount in payoffs there are from Fannie Mae, and was right there with Franklin Raines pushing to get home loans for lower income families that couldn't afford it. He is not blameless, and I have no doubt he's only going to make things worse if he wins.
Watch the video or don't -- but please take some time to really look at the facts that matter before you cast your vote.
