Raining of Gifts for Infant to be

The Baby Shower was a success! Everyone seemed to have a lovely time, and all of our plans came together very well. Here are some photographic highlights.

The Mommy-to-be and me!

The food was a diverse offering of salads, strawberries, amazing sandwiches made by the Daddy-to-be, and a really delicious BLUE punch! (Yes, it's a boy they're expecting.)

I was jazzed that the punch turned out so well. And look to the left of the punch bowl...that's the jar of baby goodies that I had a ball putting together for a game. Everyone guessed the number of items inside, and the surprising part was that Lisa's 8 year old niece guessed exactly right! Even funnier is that she chose the Starbucks gift card. I guess even 8 year olds know where to get a good Frappacino!

One of the activities was painting a onesie, and the little girls were way into it. Here's my daughter painting hers.

I'd like to see the baby try and get comfy in this thing.

The gifts were plentiful, the food yummy and the parents were pleased with the outcome. I couldn't be happier! It was truly a wonderful experience to give a fun and joyful shower for someone that I dearly love. Thank you, Lisa, for letting me participate. You deserve it, and I know you're going to be an amazing and loving mother.

Ditto to the best chef I know. He'll be a great dad!

The last highlight to share: the cake! There's a bakery nearby that makes just about anything you want, so in keeping with the airplane theme. This was Lisa's perfect pick.
