Whistle Chat While You Work

I've discovered something funny but completely useful about myself.

If there's a chore that I'm not looking forward to or that I keep putting off, I now know the best way to get it done: pick up the phone and chat with someone.

It started with a phone call on Saturday where I ended up emptying the entire dishwasher. I barely put any thought into it, because I was enjoying my visit with my sister-in-law, and never once did I care that I was doing this tedious chore.

Yesterday I chatted with my mother-in-law for 20 minutes, during which I cleaned up the dinner dishes, put away all of my scrapbooking supplies and even neatened up the family room. If I can learn to harness this power, there's no telling what I could accomplish. From now on I'm keeping my bluetooth charged and ready.

The next time you talk to me, if you can tell I'm moving around as we talk, don't worry -- I'm probably just dusting.

I also find that when I get annoyed with my husband I'm a super good cleaner (yes, it's true, occasionally I my hubby does get on my last nerve!). I find myself picking things up, doing dishes, making beds, doing laundry - anything that needs to be done, and I don't even realize it!

That's how I am! I will talk on the phone all day and know that I get all of my chores and laundry done. Now if I could just find a way to blog hands free!

I am totally a multi-tasker. If I am doing one thing- I have to be doing something else. I just about trip over myself when I am doing chores at home- lol
